Roles & Responsibilities 1. Examine animals to diagnose their health problems 2. Diagnose and treat animals for medical conditions 3. Treat and dress wounds 4. Perform surgery on animals 5. Test for and vaccinate against diseases 6. Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines 7. Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments 8. Prescribe medication 9. Euthanize animals 10. Veterinarians’ work can sometimes be emotionally stressful, as they deal with sick animals and the animals’ anxious owners. Also, the workplace can be noisy, as animals make noise when sick or being handled. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Ability to lead people and organizations through change. 2. Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills. 3. Excellent technical and persuasive writing skills. 4. Conflict resolution experience or training. 5. Grounded in practical experience on animal care practices. 6. Ability to prioritize and organize changing workload effectively. 7. Adept at recognizing, adapting, and responding to changing conditions with minimal direction. 8. Must have excellent Spoken & written communication skills in English 9. Should know to speak Hindi Qualification 1. Degree in animal husbandry, animal science or veterinary science (or medicine) preferred. 2. Basic knowledge of organic animal care practices and standards of production required, advanced knowledge in these areas preferred.
