Takeshi Hasegawa has become the 16th Chairman of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India for the year 2020-21. He succeeded Yoji Taguchi of Mitsubishi Corporation. Takeshi Hasegawa, Chairman, Japan Chamber of Commerce (JCCII) The decision to announce the appointment of Takeshi Hasegawa of ITOCHU India was made during the JCCII Annual General meeting on April 22 held through webinar during the lockdown period in India. Takeshi Hasegawa is the second executive from ITOCHU India who has been inducted as Chairman JCCII as earlier in the year 2008 Masayuki Yamamoto, Director, ITOCHU India also was appointed at this coveted post. However, Takeshi Hasegawa has not physically assumed his charge as the new chairman of JCCII as he is currently stuck in Japan and is likely to return to India soon to take new responsibility after the Indian government reinstates international flights.
